They may be delivered in person, collected, purchased in-store, etc., and are able to store large quantities of information that may be consulted at will, quickly and without compromising server bandwidth.

CD-ROMs may also be enhanced with eye-catching graphics and/or informational jackets, or cut into custom shapes to attract the user’s attention. Hence, the CD-ROM’s tangibility provides added value that downloaded products are not able to deliver.
